Nicolien Sauerbreij takes GOLD in Rucanor outfit!!

Nicolien Sauerbreij won gold at the giant parallel-slalom at Vancouver.

In a spectaculair final Nicolien Sauerbreij beat her direct component, Jekaterina Iljoechina. In her first run Nicolien Sauerbreij came in second at 0,02sec. In the second finalrun Nicolien Sauerbreij came down fast taking the lead on Iljoechina. Iljoechina tried to catch up, but was not able to take the gold medal from nicolien Sauerbreij.

In the semi-final Sauerbreij started a little slow, but her Germand component Selina Jörg made an error in the second run and fell. This cleared the way to the finals for Nicolien Sauerbreij.

Several hours later 30-year old Nicolien Sauerbreij received her gold medal at Medal Plaza in BC Place.
