14th place for the Belgium bobsleigh team women!

The Belgium bobsleigh women Elje Willemsen en Eva Willemarck gained the 14th place at the Olympics.

The third round was the weakest run of Willemsen en Willemarck with 54.64. In the fourth and final run the Belgium women came back. It nearly went wrong in the center of the course, but fortunately the Belgium bob kept standing. Above all, they had the best time of the Olympics with 54.17. They stayed on the 15th place, but through a crash of the German team they moved up one place. Finally, after four runs, they finished 14th place; 5.20 difference compared with the winners.

'Our goal was to achieve the first 16', Elfje Willemsen told straight after the finish. 'And we achieved that.' ' We made the impossible possible', says Eva Willemarck. 'Two years ago we never had seen a bobsleigh, and now we became 14th place at the Winter Olympics.'
