  • Rucanor sponsors tennisclub Schiebroek

    Rucanor has given a total of 12 wind-shields to tennisclub Schiebroek. By sponsoring these wind-shields, Rucanor can call itself a "Gold Partner" of tennisclub Schiebroek.

    After months suffering of an injury Sophie van Gestel is finally back playing again. The big talent has had problems with her heel of achilles. Remarkably enough she immediately won the Jiba Premier League event in Hoek van Holland, together with Daniëlle Remmers.

  • Rucanor is sponsoring (sports) security at KWF event Alp d’HuZes

    Last week, more than 50 motards have supported more than 3000 cyclists and runners at their achievements to climb at least once and maximum 6 times the 'Dutch' mountain in France, Alp D'huez. They did this for charity, research for cancer. This event has grown in the years to a national status with 3000 participants, where as they had 66 participants in 2006. In 2006 they collected € 300.000, and this year they collected a target amount of € 10 million already before they even started. To support this event you need a lot of volunteers.

  • Premier League Beachvolleybal Scheveningen

    On the beach of Schevingen the competition in the premier league was fierce. Because of the difficult weather conditions strange results were booked. If you won the toss playing in the wind's eye, most of the time you would win the set. In the quarter finales, Daniëlle en Nienke had to play against the team of Van der Hoeven/Van der Vlist. Daniëlle won the toss and the first set was won by a large margin. The second set the competition was serving in the wind's eye.

  • Rucanor supports Alpe d’HuZes research fund KWF fight against cancer

    Thursday 3 June it is going to happen: more than 2.500 cyclists are going to climbe the Alpe d'Huez, the most 'Dutch Mountain' of France. They do not do it without a reason, but they are cycling to raise money for the Alpe d'HuZes reach fund KWF (fight against cancer). They climb the mountain at least 6 times!! In 2009 the record amount was nearly 6 million euro's and for this year the goals is to raise 10 million euro's.

    Last Sunday Daniëlle and Michelle came back from Rome. After 2 good games, they have lost their last poule game in Rome. It is still a disappointment for them. Even more, because they were so close, every time again. At all 3 games, they were so close and in Brasil and Shanghai too. But there is just one way up; learn from these games, train hard and look forward!
